unzip it ,you will get 2 file as below
1) Blank file folder :

2)The update rom : update.zip
Second :Copy the 2 files to a blank 2GB memory card ,and insert the memory card to the Phone HDC A9100 ,and then plug in the battery (make sure that the power up to over 80%)
Third 
power on the device ,and enter the meu ,find the icon “Update system”
Then press the “update system”icon ,the phone will show “update system” ,press the button “upgrade “
The system will show “the operation is unrecoverable,are you sure”
Press “OK” to comfirm
Then the system is updating , Next ,the phone will reboot up automatically
Finally ,the flash over ,easy to do ,but remember after flash ,the system default chinese language ,you should make some setting before operation.

Had a similar problem – try this:
1) Delete the old file
2) Use Inetexplorer (had a problem with chrome)
3) Save the file
4) Use newest WinRAR to unpack
5) Use a newly formated, empty SD card
…. this should help …
… if it doesnt: try another adapter to put the data on the SD card!

When I downloaded the firmware update file, you just have a folder called “update”. There are 2 files as indicated in the manual. I put the folder “update” (234 Mb) in the microsd to update the firmware and fix the problem of GPS? Please answer. thanks

before you use the 3G data ,you should go setting to make some setting if you use 2 sim card meantime

Then the device has automatically reboot and seems to be ok; I’m going to see if the GPS has been fixed.

I’ve been trying to download the firmware update but it’s imposible. I have no idea of chinesse but links normally say “forbidden”, so the web has been clossed or in other links I have to fill many white blanks and not only the password “www.fastcardtech.com”. (I don’t understand chinesse so… it’s crazy)
I really need the update; gps doesn’t work and the switch between 3g/wifi or wifi/3g always requires to reboot if you want the aplications running with the new connection.

Well, it’s a good ROM but the GPS has not been fixed yet. Or not at all at least, now using GPS test it sees 12 satellites but can’t fix anyone of them. With the first ROM it did not see any satellites, so it is a first step of improvement but it does not work yet.
Please ask to HDC for a real fix of this software bug.

ok:
First, go into the phone EngineerMenu digitanto this combination * # * # 3646633 # * # * and go YGPS.
With the menu button enables BG Enable mode, exit the menu and restart the phone.
A reboot happened to Menu – Settings – Use position enables the GPS satellites, GPS support EPO (EPO put in the settings Automatic download) and active-GPS.
In Menu – Settings – SIM Manager SIM active data connection (data connection active with respect to the connection of a Wifi network is known that the GPS ‘fix better)
After doing ‘open the EngineerMenu as I explained before and YGPS active (on the dial you’re outdoors and you should already’ satellites appear in the area and where there are numbers of satellites are expected to grow the bars that represent the signal from the satellite ).

Not yet ,only the Android ICS 4.0 UI available on the MTK6573 Phone
